- A bit of history of St. Peter's Anglican Church -

St. Peter's is a masterpiece of ecclesiastic Georgian architecture built in the Palladian manner and is unique in the region. It is beautiful in its splendid proportions, scholarly detail and fine workmanship. It is of irregular octagonal shape with its sides not of equal dimensions. It has a massive roof under which is a fasci- nating unique rib-like wooden ceiling, not unlike the construction of a boat. The head mason was black and was responsible for the smoothness in the joints of the walls and a very neat keystone, which he sculptured.

Hebrews 10:23-25
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

We pray for our colleagues and their families as they prepare for ministry in new settings and for fruitful ministry.

Almighty and everlasting God, Lord of Heaven and earth, Grant unto us your suppliant people protection against hurricane, earthquake, volcano, and other calamities, that in tranquillity of weather we may rejoice in the comfort we ever desire, and may always make right use of your bountiful goodness: through Jesus Christ our Lord who with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.

Psalm 46:1-3

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.”

Romans 1:17

"For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written, the righteous will live by faith.”
